Our Story
A little house built on big love.
The Cozy Cubhouse opened its doors in 2026 with a simple idea: childcare should feel like coming home.

Founder & Director
Ms. Nakeama Moore
Hi, I’m Nakeama Moore, the owner and provider of The Cozy Cubhouse Daycare. As a mother of five and a military spouse for more than 20 years, I understand how important it is for parents to have a childcare provider they can truly trust. Raising my children while moving from place to place taught me firsthand how difficult it can be to find a safe, dependable, and nurturing place for your children to call their home away from home.
That experience inspired me to create The Cozy Cubhouse. My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, loved, encouraged, and free to be themselves. We combine nurturing care with hands-on STEM activities, creativity, exploration, and age-appropriate technology — including interactive virtual reality (VR) field trips that let children explore places, cultures, science, and nature beyond the classroom.
I am especially proud to support military families in our community. As someone who has lived the military lifestyle, I understand the unique schedules and challenges that come with military life. Our early-morning Military Shift Care provides extra flexibility for families who need care before traditional childcare hours.
Whether you are a working family or simply looking for a place where your child will be genuinely cared for, my hope is that The Cozy Cubhouse feels like a little piece of home. My children are grown now, and creating The Cozy Cubhouse is my way of continuing something that has always been close to my heart: providing children with a safe, loving place to learn, explore, grow, laugh, and simply be children.
